New Yorkers on Wall Street noticed over the weekend that the statue was dressed in a lace collar reminiscent of Ginsburg’s signature style.

The change appeared within 24 hours of Ginsburg’s death on Friday, due to complications from pancreatic cancer. Her death sent shockwaves across the country and sparked tributes to remember the pioneer of women’s rights on the bench of the Supreme Court.

According to local Pix11 point of sale, the company that first commissioned the Fearless Girl, State Street Global Advisors, also released a full-page ad on Sunday to honor Ginsburg, with a photo of the statue with the Ginsburg Pass. The headline read: “This is the original.”

The Fearless Girl statue was erected in the Financial District on International Women’s Day in 2017, appearing to look at the Charging Bull statue. It eventually moved to stand outside the New York Stock Exchange.
