A personal video appeared on Tuesday with footage of Monday’s helicopter crash that killed 10 people, including eight members of the French survival show. Fall, in Villa Castelli, a town in the province of La Rioja in Argentina.
Originally broadcast by Televida 9, a local network in the province of Mendoza, the video shows the mid-air collision between the two planes, which belonged to the governments of the states of La Rioja and Santiago del Estero, and were leased to the producers of the show.
Local judge Virginie Illanes Bordon confirmed on the TN news channel that 10 charred bodies had been recovered from the crash site and delivered to the state capital of La Rioja for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the team and friends of the reality show attendees were taken to a nearby hotel where they are assisted by a team of psychologists dispatched by the state government. Illanes Bordon told reporters she spoke to two family members who were “deeply broken”.

One of the deceased pilots, Juan Carlos Castillo, was the official helicopter pilot of the government of La Rioja. According to Castillo’s wife, Cristina Alvarez, he was an experienced pilot and a veteran of the Falklands War. Alvarez told TN it was “a routine flight for him” and “he was flying low, making emergency maneuvers difficult.”
